Eating out in restaurants is a very subjective thing. Everyone has a different opinion of the food, the service, the ambiance and the prices. We have either eaten in these listed restaurants or have had good friends who have recommended them. This is just the beginning as the list could be very lengthy. We typically try new restaurants but go back to the one or two that we really love.

Here is a list of some of the good restaurants in and around West Chester. A more inclusive list is available at West Chester Restaurants

• Dilworthtown Inn 1390 Wilmington Pike, just south of West Chester off Route 202.
A very nice Inn atmosphere with excellent food.  610-399-1390.
• Gilmores - 133 East Gay Street, West Chester borough.  Delicious French food in a very intimate atmosphere. Great web site. One of the best in the Philadelphia area.  610-431-2800.
• Kildare’s Irish Pub - 18 - 22 West Gay Street, West Chester borough.  Excellent Irish fare in a bustling atmosphere. Good service. Another great web site.  610-431-0770.
• Iron Hill Brewery - 3 West Gay Street (corner Gay and High Streets), West Chester borough. Great for lunch or dinner.  Microbrewery.  Outside seating.  610-738-9600.
• Marshalton Inn/Four Dogs – 1300 Strasburg Road, West Bradford Township, just west of West Chester.  A combination of informal and more formal dining.  610-692-4367
• Pepper Mill – 813 North Chester Road, at Paoli Pike and Route 352, East Goshen Township.  Our favorite place, either eating there, pick up or delivery for pizza and great cheese steaks.  610-692-0100.
• Spence Café – 29 East Gay Street, West Chester borough.  A very good full menu restaurant with many excellent entrees.  610-738-8844.
• Three Little Pigs – 131 North High Street, West Chester borough.  They serve a wonderful lunch with delicious homemade sandwiches and soups.  610-918-1272
• Vincent's – 10 East Gay Street, West Chester borough.  A good dinner place and afterwards some great jazz upstairs.  610.696.4262.
• West Chester Diner – 1147 West Chester Pike, West Goshen Township.  Very good diner-type food. Good soup and salad bar for lunch.  610-692-9000.
